Behind the tall gates right of the main Berawa road on the Umalas shortcut, tucked away among the rice fields are two of the most beautiful Canggu villas – Anggana Luxury and Anggana Riverside villa.
Owned by Canggu’s power couple, graphic designer and illustrator Rik and his stylish girlfriend, fashion designer Regina, from the Rik&Reg clothing label, both of the villas are designed in a super chic and modern way. The two-bedroom villas with private ensuites are a perfect holiday stay for two couples or a family (on request a villa can be equipped with child-safety necessities).
Both villas have recently been redecorated and we are loving those stylish summertime island life vibes – think, pastel colours, fluffy cushions, woven baskets, light bulb nightlights, seashell decorations, colourful sunbeds on the patio and lots of tropical plants by the pool –just perfect for you to capture that #balilife Insta shot.
One of the best things about the villas is their location, they are literally just a step away from all the Berawa cafes and hangout spots, but once you are sitting on the terrace reading the new issue of ELLE magazine they have waiting for you on the table besides the comfy sofa, you will think you are miles away from everything, as the atmosphere is very tranquil and breezy.
The only main difference between the two neighbour villas is that Anggana Riverside offers an open view over a small river down to the peaceful rice fields. It has an indoors kitchen with the dining room, whereas they are both outdoors in Anggana Luxury.
All bedrooms are equipped with an AC and a flat screen TV as well as fiber optic wireless internet. There is 24h security guard by the front gate and the staff for cleaning or cooking is available 6 days a week. They can also arrange a driver to come pick you up at the airport and a scooter rental service.
Okay, here is what we would do if we were you: morning swim in the beautiful villa pool, smashed avo on toast at Milk & Madu, tanning session at Finns Beach Club, quick shop stop at Cove Island Essentials and Sale Swim, scoot over to Batu Bolong side for a facial at Amo Spa (use Gu Guide app for free day pass to get access to their spa facilities), pre-dinner G&Ts on the villa terrace overlooking the rice paddies, and end the day with some sushi rolls at Tyger Sushi.
