A fresh addition to Canggu’s exploding skate scene – Konkrete Bali is a store, bar, café and bowl – with something for everyone. Whether you’ve come to slip into the bowl for a quick shred, to shop skate threads, to park up at the bar for a few cocktails, or to tuck into their epic menu with a rice field view – Konkrete Bali is always down.
Their open arms policy means that you don’t have to be a total bowl rat to fit in here. Come to the café for brunch with your mum, or even sink a Bintang with your grandma if you so please – promise you won’t get any sideways glances. It’s a welcoming, anything-goes kinda hangout, and we dig it.
A concept space born from a lifetime love of skateboarding, Konkrete Bali combines retail, food and entertainment – all under one industrial-style roof. The rough brick warehouse is open air, meaning you can cruise the shop for some sweet merch to the sound of kick tricks in the neighbouring bowl. Come night, its not unusual to find some Indi rock band making noise to a crowd surrounding the local skate-or-die crew doing their thang. It’s casual, its cool, and none of it too “hipster”.
The bar and cafe at Konkrete holds its own – serving up hearty dishes and pouring some of the best cocktails in the Gu, and all with an epic rice field panorama. Think homely classics like smoky tomato soup with crunchy bread, clam chowder, crispy chicken wings, wood fired gourmet pizzas.. it’s beer garden-style casual dining, with sophisticated drinks at a reasonable price point. What’s not to love?
[Psst! Did we mention daily happy hours on Chilean house wine, beers and cocktails – cheers to that!]
Whether you’re dropping into the bowl or just dropping in for lunch or dinner – Konkrete Bali is the new Gu hot spot you’ll wanna add to your weekend to-do’s.
