We are excited to bring you this month’s feature piece by Sheila from Bali Interiors: Villas in Canggu.
Our little paradise is dotted with endlessly beautiful villas and tropical homes, each with their own unique architectural designs and interior details inspired by the island life. Which one of the following villas is your favourite? Have a look!
Jl. Raya Uma Buluh, Babakan
JungleRoom is a little gem tucked away in the back streets of Canggu. With five little bungalows to choose from that share a large round pool or you can choose to stay in the three-bedroom Mango Villa with you own massive garden and private swimming pool.
JungleRoom is unique. Each bungalow and villa is styled differently, and looks different inside and outside. Some of them are original wooden Sumatran houses, with hand-painted details which are full of character. The interiors are decorated with antiques and mix and matched furniture.
JungleRoom is boho-luxe to the max. If you want to feel like a bohemian princess, love quirky little details and love the comforts of beautiful bathtubs, this place is for you. And now they even have a coffee shop inside the complex so you don’t have to miss those chai teas you crave so much!
Jl. Pantai Lima, Pererenan
Villa Waringin is for the sophisticated palate. A beach front villa with a deserted beach all to yourself, your own butler, driver, chef and pretty much anything else you could want. A colonial-style villa furnished and decorated with antique rattan lounge chairs, early 20th century objects and Indonesian art. It also has a workout/yoga room, and cinema room. This six-bedroom villa has beautiful bathtubs and views of the ocean from nearly every room. It’s only five minutes to Echo Beach but you will feel like you are miles away from everything.
Jl. Batu Bolong, Canggu
Located in the heart of Echo Beach, Fella Villa is ideal for families or a small group of friends. A one level villa with a closable living area, it is perfect for keeping your little ones safe.
It is very stylishly decorated with beautiful prints and large blown up photographs. Every bedroom and bathroom is right on current interior modern trends. The bathrooms are open, full of greenery with gorgeous concrete sinks and white tile shower walls. The bedrooms have been kept minimalistic, with white texture bedding and black and white cushions. The kitchen is open and a yummy breakfast is included. There is also a large pool and a big garden and plenty of outdoor space to relax or read the latest Harper’s.
Fella Villa is for people that appreciate design and want to stay close to the action of Batu Bolong.
Jl. Pantai Berawa, Berawa
Roemah Peranakan is a little Eden hidden on Jl. Pantai Berawa. Five little bungalows sit in a row and share a stunning large pool, where children can splash about in the shallows or adults can enjoy the sun on the sunbeds. There are also a series of shared open living areas, all different in look but extremely tastefully designed.
The five bungalows are antique wooden Chinese houses that were brought from Java. Featuring different interiors, some of them are two on two floors and some single level. They range from one bedroom to two bedrooms. For the price you pay, the décor is truly exceptional. They mix antiques, with modern pieces and mid-century furniture. The have absolutely nailed the design and all of them look incredible. Each of the bungalows has an outside area to sit and daybeds to help you relax into Bali life.
Jl. Umalas 1, Umalas
Centrally located in the up-and-coming area of Umalas, Villa Saba 10 is one of a kind.
This five-bedroom enormous villa is set up so you don’t have to lift a finger while enjoying your holiday. A stunning large open plan living and dining area overlooks the pool. The interior is a mix of traditional Asian art and modern fixtures and furniture. Some of the bathrooms are open and contain beautiful carved rock baths set in a lush garden. The villa includes a space for working out or taking a private yoga class.
Ideal for big families or large group of friends to chill, party and have an all around amazing time.
